Adria C LeBoeuf
Adria LeBoeuf is an Associate Professor in the Department of Zoology at the University of Cambridge, where she leads the Laboratory of Social Fluids. Her group studies socially transferred materials, the proteins, RNA, and small molecules that animals produce in one body and pass to another, and how these materials evolve and shape the recipient's physiology, behaviour, and development. She founded and co-leads the ESEB Social Transfer Network, linking researchers studying milk, eggs, seminal fluid, and other transferred materials. Her work has been supported by the NIH, SNSF, HFSP, Novartis and BBSRC amongst others. Adria received her PhD from Rockefeller University, before postdoctoral research at the University of Lausanne and the Weizmann Institute of Science. In 2019, she established the Social Fluids Lab at the University of Fribourg as a Swiss NSF PRIMA fellow. She took up her Associate Professor position in Cambridge Zoology in 2024.
